"These shoes were coloured by hand in our factory. The original leather is much lighter. Halfway through the production process, just before the sole is attached, one of our staff members picks the pair of shoes up, puts it on the table in front of him and very carefully applies the final colour with a sponge. Sounds super exclusive and artisanal, but why do we do it? Why not simply order the leather skin in exactly the right shade? Because it's the nuance that counts! Nuances in colour that you may hardly notice at first, but make the difference between fabulous appeal and the looks of a wet cardboard box. If you have a very close look at the seams and stitching for example, you will see they are accentuated just a little bit darker. That effect can only be achieved if you colour by hand."
