Floris van Bommel House tour

Floris: "In the video below, the guys from Dutch Drone Gods flew through our factory with a racing drone. I don't think our clip is as spectacular as the one where they follow a downhill mountain biker in Chile, but still... it's shoe making, right? That's spectacular too."

The last shoemanufacturer
in the Netherlands

With a history dating back to the 17th century, Schoenfabriek Wed. J.P Van Bommel B.V. is one of the oldest shoe factories in Western Europe.

"In 1734, my great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather started out as a shoemaker."

The Van Bommel shoe factory is still a family business. For nine Van Bommel generations now, fathers have passed on their knowledge of shoemaking to their sons. Currently, the company is run by creative director Floris van Bommel and his two brothers Reynier and Pepijn.

The Schoenfabriek van Bommel carries two brands: the fashionable 'Floris van Bommel' product line and the timeless 'Van Bommel' classics. Both brands are sold in its 13 own brand stores, online and at more than 1,500 dealers in Northern Europe.

The Schoenfabriek Van Bommel continuously works on reducing its ecological footprint. For the Van Bommel family, sustainability and social commitment are self-evident. The company's CSR policy is not about short-term successes or trendy marketing campaigns, but about the well-being of the generations to whom we leave our streets, houses, forests, and businesses.
