“This is a nice maritime summer shoe. During the final check before the shoe went into production, I thought the profile sole still looked a bit dull. I think it’s important to show that we’ve carefully thought about every detail. There’s no auto-pilot for us. This sole, on which we had already spent quite a lot of energy, didn’t sufficiently reflect that. It just needed a bit of a push. So the production was put on hold. And then the little brain needs to get to work. Soon, I noticed that the lines of the profile sole looked like a row of people standing behind one another. We rounded off one line, made it blue, gave it an arm and now, a never-ending conga line parades around the bottom of the sole. It has very little to do with shoemaking, until you realise that all other technical shoe details have been thought about just as long and carefully. As far as I am concerned, that’s the message. If you buy these shoes, all I can say is that I hope you’ll enjoy them. Cause joy and positivity are literally baked into the sole!”
