Product details

This is a casual lace shoe with a gum-coloured rubber sole. A leather inlay featuring the Floris van Bommel Handwerk logo is embedded in the tread. The edge of the sole is finished with the same suede as the upper, giving the shoe a relaxed, easy-going look reminiscent of styles made with the Flexible construction method. The shoe is lined with premium calf leather and finished with a woven textile label featuring Floris van Bommel branding. The removable footbed can be replaced with your own footbed or insoles if desired. A leather flag label with the Floris van Bommel “F” logo is stitched into the suede at the heel, while the tongue features a subtly embossed FvB logo.

For men’s shoes, Floris van Bommel uses the English (UK) shoe size system in whole and half sizes (5 to 13½). This allows for a very accurate fitting range. The two tables below show how the UK sizes relate to EU sizes and centimetres. In the video, we show you how to measure your feet correctly.

I have the same feeling about this shoe. Is it an elegant or a casual shoe? Ask ten people and you'll get ten different answers. And maybe that's the appeal: it’s both. It's really versatile. But back to the sponge for a moment. You wash it every day, so does it get cleaner? Or actually dirtier? Should I wait until it falls apart, or should I have replaced it long ago for hygienic reasons? I don't know."
