“If there is one thing we are strict about, it’s selecting leather with special prints. Like for this shoe. It looks like the tanner went a little overboard with his brush on this leather. Every season, I see hundreds of "special prints" coming through. Yet, only about 10 of them end up in our collection. An important selection criterion is that the shoe, no matter how special the material, must look stylish and neat on someone's foot from a distance. I like it when a shoe adds a distinct accent to an outfit. However, as far as I’m concerned, it shouldn’t be overpowering. That’s certainly not the case with this shoe. All the elements, the brush strokes, the embossing, and the colour nuances, when seen from a distance, merge together into a special, yet elegantly dressed shoe. As you can see, shoemaking is a responsible profession!”
