“The Floris van Bommel brand is now 25 years old. Just a teenager, compared to our “Van Bommel” brand that’s been around for 286 years – but still. In a quarter of a century, we’ve come up with a number of styles that have stood the test of time. This style is based on one of our own classics. After eight years, our “Elvi” model which also had a white sole with a blue stripe on it, could use a make-over – a little faster, a little slimmer, a bit more daring, and a little younger. In 25 years, we’ve moved from being an experimental shoe brand to a brand that launches its own restyled classics. That’s quite something. In case you’re considering buying these shoes: I think that in 8 years, there will be a newly restyled version of this one available because I think that this one here will be another classic by then.”
